Why Greece?

Greece located at the crossroads of three continents . . .

When you have a client who is ready for a grand escape with their partner, family, close friends or colleagues, and they’re searching for a spot on the global map that promises a fantasy cruise, the Greek islands are the number one choice with hundreds of island destinations to choose from and 15,000 kilometers of coastline to sail along.

Alluring Culture and Terrain

Greece is world renown for its romantic islands, drop-dead-gorgeous beaches, abundant sunshine, ideal dry climate and the cleanest waters in Europe. The aroma of jasmine, oregano and pine trees infuse the air. The country is flush with World Heritage Sites, legendary antiquities and endearing cultural attractions, not to mention a healthy Mediterranean cuisine and fine local wines and spirits.

Modern Infrastructure

The success of the 2004 Athens Olympics was due in part to Greece’s construction of new infrastructure, including a new international airport, an extended metro system in Athens and surrounding cities, a pedestrian mall around the Acropolis, a coastal tram and the world’s second longest cable-stayed bridge.

Greece’s marquee ports — Santorini, Mykonos, Corfu, Katakolo, Rhodes — have all modern amenities to facilitate arrival by yacht to the local harbor.  Less traveled islands are accustomed to yachting seafarers stopping to tour and play on their islands and make it easy for traditional wooden yachts to visit.

Safe Environment

Safety is an important feature for today’s traveler.  Greece is an exceedingly safe destination.   Our guests spend most of their time in the islands and rural regions, and these areas are practically crime-free. Locals often leave doors unlocked and children play free from fear in the plazas and streets. The police seem to have time on their hands.

On a more global note, Greece received earnest praise from all corners for delivering a high level of security to protect foreigners during the 2004 Olympics which proves the country’s ability to ensure a safe environment for tourism.
